Coulter Lane Farm Sign

Family run Coulter lane Farm is well know in and around Burntwood for its wide range of 'pick your own fruit'. The farm has over recent years increased the fruit enterprise and offers customers many varieties of top quality fresh soft fruits and vegetables, which are available from early Summer through to Autumn (weather permitting). They also have chickens and ducks as well as a small herd of highland cattle providing eggs and highland beef for sale in the farm shop.

Coulter Lane prides itself on conservation and in recent years have created ponds, planted trees and re introduced hedges as well as being the first farm in Staffordshire to re-introduce Cannock Chase heathland back onto the land. The farm is constantly evolving to reflect modern times.  New projects include renting out allotments (no availability at present), grazing for horses and clay pigeon shooting (more details below).

The Farm shop is open from 10am to 7 pm daily and sells a fantastic range of home made and local produce; from home made jams, chutneys and highland beef to season logs, bedding and pernial plants. The shop also provides refreshements and snacks for visitors to the farm. There is a lovely seating area where you can have a picnic and meet some of the farms animals making it a lovely afternoon out for the family.

The clay pigeon shoot is held every other Sunday from 11 am to 1 pm.  The next one is Sunday 19 July 2009. The traps are changed every time so that the shoot is different and challenging, refreshments are available.  Once a month there is an open friendly competition and various different prizes, some local pubs, restaurants and local businesses have some months kindly donated prizes, howvever there is no obligation to take part in the competitions when they are on.  We run a friendly league table each shoot and once a year there will be a Prize Giving.

There is a novice trap available for those who are new to the sport and lessons can be arranged, one of our BASC trained safety offices can advise all aspects of how to shoot including Health and Safety.  The clay pigeon shoot is available for private Corporate  Days or as a day activity for Stag parties.  Cartridges can be purchased on the day (subject to availability & a Shotgun License ).
