The festival takes over Burntwood Rugby Club [map] for the weekend.

Friday night is the Unsigned Bands night, Saturday day time is a Family Fun Day and Saturday evening is the classical Proms in the Park with the Amadeus Orchestra. Entry to both is free.

Sunday night is the big event, a 60s extravaganza featuring The Animals, Dave Dee, The Fortunes, The Foundations, The Searchers and The Tremeloes. Tickets cost £25 from TicketWeb.

The festival is a showcase for local artists and features acts in many venues throughout the city. From school and college theatres performing in schools and colleges to rock bands in pubs and pizza restaurants.

The focus of the event is Saturday 12 July when there are over 60 acts performing and events going on at 19 venues throughout the day.

The Festival has its own website at www.suttonfestivalofarts.co.uk (thats "Festival of Arts" not "Festival o Farts") with a pdf programme. It also has its own Twitter account.
